Teaching experience:

I am a chess coach with a proven track record of nurturing both young talents and adult chess enthusiasts. My coaching journey is marked by the following highlights:

🏆Ashwath Kaushik - An extraordinary talent in chess, Ashwath was crowned the World Rapid Chess Champion in the U8 category(2022). He stands among the youngest to draw against two Grandmasters, and has victories over two International Masters and a Woman Grandmaster. Ashwath is ranked #3 in Eastern Asia U12(while being only 8 y old !) and has showcased his skill in international tournaments in Hainan, Phuket, Gold Coast, London, Barcelona, and Arco (Italy). His attacking style, featuring stunning sacrifices, has earned him accolades such as 'Game of the Month'.

🏆Chan, Chi Yin Charles - A standout performer in Hong Kong, representing the Hong Kong Team in the World Youth U8, World School Chess Championships - Open U9, and the 7th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship - U10 Standard. Charles's achievements are a testament to his skill and determination.

🏆Rikka Mitsuyama - At just 12 years of age, Rikka became the Japan Women's Chess Champion in 2022 and represented Japan in the Chess Olympiad.

🏆Tanvi Trivedi - Demonstrated exceptional prowess at the 7th Eastern Asian Youth Chess Championship 2023 by securing 3 medals in the U8 Girls category, including Gold in Rapid and Silver in Standard and Blitz. Tanvi's accomplishments are reflective of her hard work and the effectiveness of our training approach.

🏆Among my notable students are Via and Christian Ryerson from the USA, who have amassed numerous medals and trophies in national competitions. Miransh Vyas from India, Owen MacMullin from Australia and Abigail Rowe from New Zealand are young players who have shown significant improvement recently, demonstrating their growing skills.

In addition to mentoring young chess prodigies, I also excel in coaching adult players. Many of my adult students, who primarily play online and don't participate in traditional tournaments, have remarkably improved their ratings by 300-500 points, achieving levels up to 2200-2300. This substantial progress showcases the effectiveness of our focused training and their commitment to the game.

My students come from all over the world 🗺️, each from different cultures and of different ages, but they all share a common love for chess and a desire to improve!

My best coach skills:

✔️Lessons based on individual weaknesses
✔️Analytical skills
✔️Openings
✔️Middlegames (Strategy/Tactic)
✔️Endgames
✔️Utilizing modern tools (databases, PGN files)

Teaching methodology:

1) Students should send me at least 10 games of their game (classic, rapid or blitz) or links to their accounts on chess websites.
2a) I will analyze their games to find common mistakes and base lessons around them. For example, lessons can be how to make plan in simple or in complicated position, position estimate based on key factors, basic, intermediate or advanced endgames, tactics, strategy, pawn structure, bad and good pieces, frequent motives, openings... During the lesson, emphasis is put on the thinking process and psychology. I ought to share not only what I think about a certain position, but what chain of thoughts led me to that.
2b) The other option is to play a couple of games with a student and then analyze the games.
3) Everything we do in the class, homework and additional material is given after every class.
