Hawaii Chess Federation
- The Hawaii Chess Federation (HCF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii. HCF is the official Hawaii state affiliate of the United States Chess Federation (USCF).
- The HCF is the governing body for chess completion on the islands of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui and Hawaii. Residents, part-time residents and former/future residents with strong connections to Hawaii are all welcome to join.
- Through the HCF players can compete in over-the-board tournaments and other events, such as the Hawaii Open (usually over Labor Day Weekend). Members can also compete in the US Team Chess League and play daily games against other states.
- For players who enjoy Chess960 (a.k.a. Fischer Random or Freestyle Chess), this team participates in the One World League matches.
- Players who enjoy discussing ongoing games with allies can participate in Vote Chess events.
- Young players in grades K-12 are encouraged to join the HCF Scholastic Club
